Teaching Activity

I teach in various contexts about my research topics and love to develop novel concepts of performative incorporations of knowledges. I try to overcome all-too classical forms of frontal teaching and am very interested in developing thoughts in alternative and more enabling and inclusive contexts together with others. For this I usually find spaces devoted to performance and dance more fertile than classically "academic" spaces, although I like to navigate in-between both. I do strongly believe that philosophy can be performed in very interesting and engaging ways for all sorts of audiences. I am especially interested in engaging discourse within activist contexts.

Among my teaching, I have developed a workshop about bodily reasonings with Sabina Holzer that was initially called "Körper und Vernünfte" and is now more well known under the name "Reasonable Messages from Unreasonable Dances" (Impulstanz). Some of my lectures can be found in video form on this homepage and you can find all my teaching activity here. If you are interested in inviting me for a workshop / talk / etc., please do not hesitate to contact me. Usually I am very curious about new settings.
